Founder & CEO
Dr. Sabine Schnabel is a leading expert in strategic communication, specializing in CEO branding, financial and crisis communication, and public affairs. She helps companies, institutions, and executives manage their reputations, influence key stakeholders, and navigate complex business challenges with confidence.
With deep experience in corporate public policy, she advises multinational companies on regulatory advocacy and develops tailored public affairs strategies. She also provides strategic litigation PR and crisis communication support to manage media relations and minimize reputational risks.
Before founding BSH advisors in 2014, she worked in international advocacy for METRO AG and as a consultant at CNC Communications in Munich. Her career includes roles at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, Gruner + Jahr, and Pleon Publico. She holds a PhD from the Max Planck Institute in Hamburg and an LL.M. from the National University of Singapore and New York University.
Beyond her leadership role, she is an investor, moderator, and lecturer on strategic positioning, crisis management, and public affairs.
Sandra Oreški, MA
Managing Partner
Sandra Oreški is a communications strategist specializing in crisis management, media relations, and campaign strategy. She develops tailored communication plans for businesses, executives, and organizations to enhance reputation and brand presence.
A recognized expert in crisis communication, she helps companies mitigate reputational risks, implement proactive crisis strategies, and manage high-pressure media situations. She also leads impactful PR and digital marketing campaigns, including "Leben statt Lockdown," Germany’s largest private-sector vaccination initiative.
Before joining BSH advisors, she worked at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in journalism. Her background in transcultural communication and conference interpreting (University of Graz, Mansfield University of Pennsylvania) equips her with a nuanced understanding of global communication dynamics and stakeholder engagement. She is a lecturer in crisis communication at Manz and Austrian Standards and a frequent moderator of industry panels and expert discussions.

Melanie Laure is a legal and communications expert with extensive experience in public policy, corporate affairs, and strategic communication. She advises businesses, executives, and institutions on corporate communications, brand PR, litigation and crisis management, and executive positioning.
With a strong network spanning politics, business, and media, she bridges strategic communication with targeted advocacy. Her legal expertise is particularly valuable in litigation PR and crisis response. Her background in public affairs enables her to position companies effectively with policymakers, anticipate regulatory challenges, and craft tailored communication strategies.
She has held leadership positions in both business and government, including as Head of Public Affairs & Communications at ÖBAG and as a senior advisor at the Austrian Ministry of Finance. Her in-depth understanding of political and economic frameworks makes her a sought-after expert in corporate advocacy.

Mag. Lorenz Wiltschke, MSc
Consultant & Head of Public Affairs
As Head of Public Affairs at BSH advisors, Lorenz Wiltschke supports clients in government relations, strategic positioning, and regulatory advocacy. His expertise lies in EU public policy, helping businesses navigate complex political and economic landscapes.
With a background in law and governance, he has a strong understanding of legislative processes, regulatory compliance, and political decision-making. His career spans roles in top-tier law firms, the Austrian Federal Chancellery during the 2018 EU Council Presidency, and the judiciary.
He holds a law degree from the University of Vienna and an MSc in Public Administration with a focus on International & European Governance from Leiden University. Additionally, he has completed advanced training in diplomacy and public policy at the Academic Forum for Foreign Policy and the Vienna School of International Studies.
Outside his professional role, he is actively involved in political education and co-founded a non-profit focused on civic engagement.

With her experience in change communication, she supports organizations through transformation processes and ensures effective internal communication during change initiatives. She also helps executives and businesses optimize their LinkedIn strategy to establish thought leadership and build an authentic digital presence.
Before joining BSH advisors, she worked in management consulting at Ernst & Young (EY) with a focus on change, communication, and corporate culture. She studied Corporate Communication at FH Wien der WKW and earned her Master’s degree in International Business from the Pompeu Fabra Business School in Barcelona.
Sophie Pollhammer, BA
Junior Consultant
Sophie Pollhammer specializes in corporate communications, public affairs, and financial communication. She helps businesses effectively position themselves with political and economic decision-makers and supports them in representing their interests strategically.
Another key focus of her work is financial communication, where she advises publicly traded companies on investor relations and media communication. She ensures corporate messaging is precise, consistent, and impactful—both for investors and the wider public.
Before joining BSH advisors, she gained valuable experience in corporate communications, public relations, and public affairs, including at L’Oréal. Her deep understanding of media and regulatory processes allows her to strengthen companies’ communication strategies, identify risks early, and develop sustainable solutions.
Sophie studied journalism and communication science and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in digital business communication.

Madeleine Müller is a graphic designer specializing in corporate design, branding, and visual communication. She develops tailored designs for print, web, and social media, ensuring a cohesive and professional brand presence.
Her focus includes corporate identity development, web design, and marketing materials that strategically position businesses. In addition to her design expertise, she has extensive knowledge of social media management, paid advertising, and content creation. She combines creative graphic design with data-driven performance marketing to create visually compelling and impactful brand presentations.
Madeleine studied graphic and information design at the New Design University in St. Pölten, specializing in corporate design, print, and online media. During an exchange semester at IED Barcelona, she deepened her knowledge of international design and marketing strategies. She also has experience as a marketing manager, graphic designer, and social media manager for companies in the tourism and events industry.

Senior Advisor
Boris Schnabel brings extensive expertise in financial strategy, corporate governance, M&A, and risk management to his role as External Counsel at BSH Advisors. With many years of experience as Group CFO of international corporations, he advises companies on financial steering and communication, compliance, investor relations, and strategic corporate development.
He began his professional career in corporate finance at KPMG International before taking on financial responsibility as CFO of the growing tech start-up Webfair AG. He then joined the METRO Group, where he led strategic growth projects as Head of Strategic Business Development. In the following years, he held various international CFO and CEO positions, including CFO of Metro Cash & Carry Austria, Regional Financial Officer CEE, and CEO of Metro Cash & Carry International Holding in Vienna.
From 2016 to 2025, he served as Group CFO and Co-CEO of DER Touristik Group, where he was responsible for the financial strategy in 16 countries, overseeing Group Controlling, Treasury, M&A, Tax & Governance, and Compliance. Since 2025, he has been the CEO of BSH Invest GmbH.

Public Affairs Advisor
Stefan Hirner is a Public Affairs Advisor at BSH Advisors and a trained lawyer. He has recognized expertise in the fields of public affairs and EU public policy, litigation communication, as well as corporate and financial communications.
Before joining BSH Advisors in 2018, he worked for several years at two renowned commercial law firms in Vienna. There, he advised clients primarily on antitrust and competition law, state aid law, merger control, and contractual matters.
He completed his law studies at the University of Innsbruck and Erasmus University Rotterdam. Additionally, he earned an LL.M. in European Competition Law and Regulation from the University of Amsterdam and passed the Austrian bar exam at the Higher Regional Court of Vienna.
